Northampton County LTCF
I just applied for my LTCF in Easton and it was very pleasurable. The woman at the counter said it would take 4-6 weeks, hopefully it won't be that long but when I was living in NJ my firearm ID card took 5 months so I guess 4-6 weeks isn't bad. I'm looking for a CC pistol and I'm thinking Sig 229, Sig 239, or poss a Kel Tec PF-9 what do you guys think? Also besides Crossbreed and Comp-tac what holsters do you like?

Re: Northampton County LTCF
I carry a Kahr CW9. It's very compact and comfortable to carry in my Don Hume IWB. It also fits my hand much better than the Kel-Tecs I looked at. But, you can't go wrong with a Sig. My OC weapon is usually a Sig P250. Good luck.
I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy. Hippie and 3%er.

Good luck on 4-6 weeks.
I am now up to 50 days. According to the people I talked with they have up to 45 working days.

Re: Northampton County LTCF
50 days that seems long maybe I was lucky. I also called about 15 days in to check status maybe that made it go a little quicker.

1 Pa.C.S.A. § 1991
The following words and phrases, when used in any statute finally enacted on or after September 1, 1937, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, shall have the meanings given to them in this section:
...
"Day." The time from midnight to the next midnight.
They do not have 45 "working days", they have 45 days, period.
Edit: I'm assuming you were also overcharged, since Northampton has their fee listed as $35. The law is clear, the license should be $25.Last edited by IronSight; May 5th, 2010 at 11:09 PM.

Re: Northampton County LTCF
I plan on a letter to the sheriff after receiving my LTCF. Not only on the 50+ days, but also being overcharged, and the message on the answering machine. The message says LTCF/CC.
I am so happy it is a renewal. Maybe I should not have checked that box.
I may stop by there to talk with them, as it is difficult to get anyone that is helpful on the phone.
