Question Help what should I OC carry….

Just recently I have decided to OC in the Bloomsburg area Columbia County and can’t decide what to carry. I’m thinking something small so I don’t attract too much un wanted attention but with carry small I feel I am limiting my self with mag capacity… Hope I never have to un holster my side arm but I do want enough fire power to stop a threat and make a hasty retreat if the time comes. What I am looking for is some input and advice from people more experienced whit OC on what to carry. Here are my options for an OC side arm. I also have several revolvers but they are to big for me to consider for OC.. Or maybe you have a better side arm in mind that’s not in my list I am always up for buying another to add to the collection……..Help what should I OC carry….

    Ruger LCP 380
Bond Arm Snake slayer IV 45- 410
    Smith & Wesson SW40VE
Glock 32 - 357 sig equipped with a Crimson tracer
    Springfield V10-45 ultra compact ported
    Taurus PT 1911
    Taurus 24/7 pro – 9mm

Thanks in advance for your input.. plumbcrazy...

You've got it all backwards dude... one of the great things about open carry is that you can carry whatever size firearm you want. You don't have the limitations of trying to conceal it.

For example, the Ruger LCP would be a great concealed carry gun, because it would be nearly impossible to tell you are carrying it. That being said, why would you open carry a ruger LCP if you were no longer limited to size?

I suggest carrying those big revolvers, or whatever your heart desires.
The size of the gun you are carrying will have next to no psychological effect on people, a gun is a gun. I know this is arguable, but so insignificant I wouldn't let it stop you from carrying whatever you want.
Besides, with open carry you get to carry full size guns with higher calibers than .380acp.

I had to laugh out loud, because this is the complete opposite dilemma people who open carry have..

I don't know about the Desert Eagle. It's pretty freakin' heavy for carry.

The most important thing to consider is what you are comfortable shooting. You could buy a small gun that nobody will notice, but if you don't feel right shooting it, then it's going to be almost useless. The best carry gun is the one you shoot the most. It also helps if it is comfortable to carry.

If you are worried about people noticing, then you may want to consider CC instead.
I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy. Hippie and 3%er.

the 1911 of course. especially if it's nickel or chrome finish. or, you said you had some large revolvers. one of them would do fine.

the point of OC is that you don't have to worry about obtrusiveness. hiding guns is for CCers. us OCers can carry whatever we feel most comfortable shooting, and THAT is more important than whether someone notices us carrying.
