    Default glock problem?

hi the last time i went to the shooting range and for the very first time ( no lie) in over 2300 rounds, i got a jam in my glock 19! i didnt know what the hell happened as i was shooting like always...then i see the slide and the shell was stuck in between it..granted the shot of course fired and hit on target but my glock was incapacitated after that shot (about 7th in that mag).. so i went home cleaned it, wasnt too bad, and went back and nothing happened...anything i should be worried about,. ??? or has this ever happened to anyobody before?

If it only happened once have no worries. FTEs do happen and will happen at some point or another. If you notice it to continue to happen mark all your mags and see if it's one specific mag or not. That should help you out for now, let us know if you continue to have this problem with multipule magazines.

    What do you mean Stuck?
was the empty just sitting rather vertically with the slide pinning it against the breach? IE a Stovepipe, or something more serious?

The traditional vertical stovepipe happens, with limpwristing or a very dirty extractor.

With some Glocks, you get a characteristic "horizontal stovepipe" occasionally if you shoot aluminum cased ammo.

I was going to say... "Boo hoo! Your Glock jammed? Darn, it must not be perfection after all. Welcome to the world of just about every other pistol out there."

...but I didn't, because that wouldn't be nice.

Hi there, I own a glock 23 and have put about 500 rds through it, one time at the range the same thing happened to me, it hasn't happened again even though I blame the ammunition for such a malfuntion.

Darn Right it was the ammo. You know a Glock wouldn't do that.

Sorry, I just had to do that.
