Exclamation Call Me Crazy, I'm Thinking About a NAA Mini...

You have to admit the NAA Mini .22 revolvers are a cool concept, even if they have limited application. I can only really think of one application personally and that's a fishing/hiking gun. I want something I can shoot .22 shotshells in for snakes. I'm thinking about the Black Widow model, with a 2 inch barrel and a .22lr and .22 mag cylinder. Anyone have opinions? And no, I won't be using it for SD. At least as far as two legged predators go, so we don't need to have that arguement.

Very small snakes and birds... unless it is a 22 mag revolver. Even then, it better be a small creature, with an area the size of a basketball, and you better have tiny hands.

I personally see these only as a novelty.

    Have you ever shot one?

The trigger is very very different.

I've handled, but never shot one.
Frankly, I see them as novelty, but I wouldn't carry one for any kind of defense. It's not the caliber...I'd be fine with a single action revolver in .22LR and I do own an old S&W Model 17 (DA .22 revolver).
But the NAA Mini is just too small for anything serious.
However, that's not saying don't buy one...if you want one, buy it!!!
Well, pushed 60 too hard so now I am the big SIX-OH. Now I can be a real pain in the ass! And, who says growin' old isn't fun!!

You are crazy. Unless you're a dwarf you won't be able to manipulate the gun so that it is accurate, in a reliable manner, in quick time.

It's a novelty gun imo. Why not just get a .22 revolver that you can actually put in your hand and use the sights..

Just remember, shooting any snake in PA is against the law, even if you have a timber rattler/copperhead permit.

I almost bought one at the Sugarman's gunshow (up the Eynon) on Saturday. Neat little gun. I'm still thinking about it, though. (Which means that I'll inevitably buy the damn thing)

Reason I didn't though, was to put the $200 from it toward a Ruger Bearcat. Much bigger and better for plinking.

That and I already have a .22 mag derringer.
