    Default M76 Build

Started off with a parts kit from ORF, ORF reciever, and Green Mountain barrel.

After several hours of deburring, fitting of pins, covers, levers, and the bcg, I blasted the receiver clean..

Tried on some other parts since I'm out of time until next weekend. Will tackle the barrel assembly next week.

I'll measure my M76 barrel later tonight with calipers, but I don't have a PSL to measure. But I'll tell you, every part on this M76 is beefed up it seems compared to the typical AK variants. I really like the heft of the parts, it should make for a fairly accurate rifle.

Forgot those dimensions, sorry, calipers are not with me right now either.

Got some more done this week. Barrel parts pressed on except for the front sight which I will solder on since it's not quite a perfect press fit.

Got the barrel assembly pressed into the receiver and tonight riveted the scope rail on. (forgot to upload pics) I'm going to headspace it off some ammo with the firing pin and extractor pulled pending I can find some ammo tomorrow.

Where can I find some Wolf Gold or Privi 8mm in the northern york or cumberland county area? Besides corrosive surplus, those more modern ones are the only ones with the correct bullet weight. I checked out three stores tonight and found nothing. The wold and privi will primarily be the ammo I will use before switching to relaoding for that caliber.

I'm just gonna skip right ahead to the final product since there doesnt seem like much interest in the actual build process here. Got some 8mm in last week and it's ready for test firing at this point, which I may try out tomorrow.

With the obligtory bayonet picture turning this thing into a spear.

very impressive! i didn't know an 8mm AK variant even existed, very cool rifle.
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.
