    Default Goin' shootin'?

I used to have three, no make that four, neighbors who owned guns and reportedly liked shooting. All of them bitched about not being able to shoot as often as they'd like.

I'd let them know when I was going to the range, either for a match or just to test out something. I was usually there twice a week. After a few years of constant invites and continual rejections, I told them all, if you ever want to go, just let me know. No one ever took me up on it.

I guess for them, ownership was its own reward.

Perhaps that meant their wives wouldn't let them shoot.... ever?

That's why I never get to go shooting with one of my best buddies anymore. In fact, he's not allowed to do anything except work and stay home with her... If he didn't take it without complaint (to her) like such a pussy, I'd feel bad for him.

I can't relate. My wife IS one of my shooting buddies.

Mine too, though she doesn't enjoy it as much as I do, but she's plenty happy when I go out shooting... I think because then I'm not home bugging her!

Nah, one guy was single and two others' wives were always trying to chase them out of the house to do SOMETHING other than play with the computer or watch sports on TV. The fourth is not the type who asks to be allowed to do anything and, if asked, refused to do anything. Maybe that's why he's on wife #3 now.

that sucks!...shooting is just as big a part of protecting your family as owning a gun is. In fact I think that owning a gun makes you responsible for practicing and staying good with it to insure the safety of others.

I used to take my wife shooting. Problem was after the match was over, she'd want to leave immediately and go shopping which ruined my time to stand around and tell gun lies with the other guys.

Some people don't like to shoot. I have an uncle who bought a 12 gauge pump for home defense a few years back. He shot it a few years back... and that's all.

Being that I'm spoiled and can shoot anytime on my land, I shoot all the time. Not just to keep proficient, but also because it's just so much fun!

I wish he would get a ladder and climb up onto the top shelf on their pantry and fetch the jar that his wife keeps his balls in... but I'm afraid he is growing accustomed to his testicular detachment... if he doesn't do something quickly it's going to be permanent I fear.

    Lol. Last line is hilarious.

999 times out of a thousand mine will choose shopping over shooting guns.
