    Default 9mm AR SBR

I have a lower imbound now and will be submitting paperwork to the ATF to build a 10.5" sbr to start.

    Couple of questions
Who makes the best Colt style mags now?
    What barrel lengths work best/least?

I've heard nothing but good things about these.

For $20 they seem like the best deal out there. As far as barrel length, I'm not sure. I'm working on the same thing right now and I'm going to go with 10 1/2" because I'm not planning on running suppressed right away. If I was going to go with a suppressor, I'd probably be looking at 7" barrels myself.

    Dedicated lower?
Normal 556 lower, Hahn mag block.

Metal-form mags from Brownells or the Palmetto mag, same mags.

For use with a can... 4-5.5"
That way you can more than likely run the same exact load as you do with a pistol. More barrel is more velocity, possibly turning sub-sonic ammo into super sonic ammo.
If you're not running a can, what ever length you want.

What Nate said, plus barrel lentgh on a 9mm doesn't affect function because it's blow back.

I agree, as far as ARs go my 9mmAR is one of my most fun next to my 22AR

Mine is a 8.5", went that route because it's to me a good mix between being comfortable shooting Unsuppressed that is not to short and suppressed isn't unwieldy.
