Default Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank - CCW Friendly?

I will be visiting the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank.

    http://www.philadelphiafed.org/about...r-information/

    Is this federal property?

    Is it

    1) Legal to CCW there
    2) If not, do they provide secure storage? I doubt there is an obligation to (thinking courthouse...)

    Thoughts?

The FRB system is a creature of Congress with Presidential appointees with consent of Congress, much like Amtrak.

"The Fed has a unique public/private structure that operates independently within government but not independent of it."

Based on that I would expect that the building is considered a 'Federal facility' under 18 USC 930 and weapon possession is prohibited see ETA below. You can tell for sure by looking for the mandatory signs as required by 18 USC 930(h).

There is no legal requirement to provide storage and I doubt very much if they offer same to the public.

ETA: FRB employees are not Federal employees according to a Federal Reserve Board website. IF there are no federal employees with a duty station there then 18 USC 930 would not be applicable. That's not to say that they still couldn't establish a no firearms policy, just that possession would not be a violation of the Federal law regarding Federal facilities. They also appear to pay real estate taxes. Based on this new information I would have to change my answer to the effect that they are not under the protection of 18 USC 930.

Hmm tricky. The Federal Reserve is as federal as Federal Express. In reality it is the Bank that the United States loans money from. Its a federal bank. It has stockholders, its private. I could still see them trying to pull something if you got caught however.
