Rewind to Thursday...... For those of you that don't know (aka everyone) Thursday I turned 22.....

So anyhow, I get home from school, walk into the house, and started talking with my dad..... Asked him how his day was as he had the day off....... He told me that he went to the chiropractor and then, since it was my birthday, he decided to go to the sporting goods store and buy a gun to give to............................... Himself as a gift for my birthday - Taurus Judge.....So I am thinking, what an asshole to lead me on like that.....

(A little more background.... my dad has always been pro gun but never really saw the need to carry. He has his LTCF primarily for ease of transportation)

He then said, you will never guess what I bought to go with it.....A custom pancake holster and a gun belt to go with it, and he is gonna carry it.

I guess all of our discussions have finally brought him over to our side , so that at least made up for the gun being for himself

I don't know your father or his sense of humour, so I can't really comment on his gloating about a new purchase. That said, you're a grown man, you shouldn't really be bothered by a lack of total attention three days after your birthday.



edit; I'm not a big fan of the Judge, I'm of the opinion that a dedicated wheelgun in .45 Colt, like a Ruger Redhawk, is an overall better platform. But if it tickles his fancy, more power to him.

He was just joking around, knew I would be excited by it............

I wasn't really bothered by it, other than I thought I was getting another gun, I was more excited that he is gonna start carrying......
