The cost of the war in perspective
I'm sure there is some sort of study somewhere out there that says how once a number becomes big enough, the average person just can't understand it.
We know a million dollars is a nice chunk of money.
We know a billion dollars is an even nicer chunk of money.
But other than that, how can you imagine what the cost of the Iraq war looks like?==============
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”
~Samuel Adams
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it."
~Thomas Jefferson, 1791

Re: The cost of the war in perspective
That looks cool. At $315 billion it will just take another 4 years or so to reach the money spent in one year by our public indoctrination, i mean education system. Maybe democrats up in washington should be demanding why these haven't reached their benchmarks
