I was on www.Digg.com today and came accross a very brief but disturbing article about the sex trade in many 3rd world countries. Thought you guys might like to read it too.

If you think the sex trade just is limited to 3rd world countries then i'm sorry to inform you that it happens in our own backyard too. I dont have any of the figures infront of me since its been 2 years since i've taken the class that discussed it in depth. But it is a disturbingly large number of "indentured" workers in the USA that is part of the worldwide sex trade.

There was a special on tv about a journalist who went to Cambodia to investigate the whole child prostitution going on there. Very disturbing. I was a teacher for 7 years and was just shocked at the shit some kids have to deal with.

I saw some special on TV a while ago about Thailand and Pakistan with these little girls as sex slaves. Made me absolutely sick. Curiously the undercover filming showed allot of wealthy American men at these brothels. Some were requesting girls as young as 5 or 6.

Some of these girls should be shot in the head to end their suffering. Most have diseases which will slowly and painfully kill them. What torture!

I dont get to "listen" to TV at work, but becaise of the kind of work I do, we have 2 giant TV reporting the news and weather 24/24. Seems between 2 alarms I saw that some important official was arrested for child porn in the past few days... Not sure if it was a political figure or a legal type, but Cnn or Fox seemed to think it was a big scoop. Cant find a thing on either sites.

Although I believe shows like "to catch a predator" are do use some entrapment, they probably do catch people in there that would be cought in other instances and save children. I forget what exactly I was looking for the other day, but it was gun related, and I had safe search on, so I removed the safe search and more porn came up then guns!

It's pretty bad out there when every second search you do brings out porn of some sort. We tend to close our eyes to it all saying It's not happening here, but it is.

I guess its like the news, we hear so much bad news, that we tend to overlook it unless it hits down the street.

A few years ago, Vicky was going to work, there was a guy that worked where she did who I knew from an other security company... Feds picked him up in the parking lot there... Vicky did not know it that day, but turned out he was arrested for child porn! Dumb thing is, (I did webhosting at the time) he had just asked me not a week earlyer how much I would charge him to build him a computer and make him a website.

You just never know who your dealing with.

Frenchy, I think the one you heard about yesterday was a Federal Prosecuter(sp). From my understanding the police had a woman posing on line saying that she was selling time with her 5 yo daughter and the FP is one of the ones who responded...

I dunno man, this stuff is just messed up beyond belief.

I am very open with sexuality, and honestly couldn't care less what is done in the privacy of a bedroom between two (or more) consenting adults. If you enjoy being a sex slave and decide to place yourself in that situation, that's fine. You want someone to pee on your face, I don't care. What I don't get is this fascination with young girls for sexual purposes. Maybe it's that I like a full figured woman as opposed to the short skinny type but how can anyone want to do that to a young child? How could you be attracted to someone who recently wet the bed? It's not sexy, it's fucked up! and parents who do this need to get the shit kicked out of them.

I do like the show "to catch a predator" and don't consider it entrapment. They didn't go there to play checkers, they came to hang out and likely have sex with an underage girl. If someone sets up a drug deal online and people show up looking to buy or sell, then that's fine.

Now vice cops on the other hand, I have a problem with. It's the same standard but I just have an issue with making sex between consenting adults illegal. Carlin said it best: Why is it illegal to sell something that is perfectly okay to give away?
