Indexing a AR Flash upressor
Have a flash suppressor that needs to be indexed. it's giving me fits as to how to get it right.
Have crush washers but they don't seem to crush... ????
Have peel washers as well, how do you get them to split apart for indexing ???
Have also read about indexing jam nuts but can't seem to find any.... ???Honesta Mors Turpi Vita Potior ~ 3%

A crush washer will take 30 ft/lbs before it starts to move. It can take some muscle.
I prefer peel washers because I don't like that much torque on the muzzle. Hit them with a propane torch or torch lighter and they will separate. You can also heat them a bit and just take a knife to the edge and they will separate that way.

Re: Indexing a AR Flash upressor
The other option would be to find a buddy with a lathe. An properly indexed on muzzle device looks so much better.
