Shows the Sigma doesn't shoot bad
Yes, I own a SW40VE, Proudly at that. I actually bought it after a lot of research, and trying out several different pistols. It, is my daily carry, never had a failure all over the years I've owned it, and Very proficient with it. So this past Monday, I finally took my daughter to the range, and damn, she did pretty good.
It was her first time ever shooting a firearm. Each target was 6 shots @ 10 yards using Winchester 165 gr. FMJ.
She managed 5 of 6 shots on a 10 in target for all 4 targets. Now shes hooked,so I will be loading up on ammo.
Tried to post pics, but kept getting an memory error from PAFOA.

Re: Shows the Sigma doesn't shoot bad
Yes the Sigma shoots reliably and adequately accurately. Riddle me this though: How could a company that made the exquisitely beautiful hand-ejector for over a century, make such a god awful ugly brick of a gun, the Sigma???

Re: Shows the Sigma doesn't shoot bad
Now I have to admit - when they first came out, it was sort of ugry(but no kore so then any glock). But current model, specialy two tone ones are pretty handsome looking pistol I think.
And I don't think trigger is that bad - I shoot my Wheel gun alot in DA, and I think it's about the same.
If you like it, and your good with it, and gun is reliable for you, then there is nothing wrong with YOUR choice of firearm.Audemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Shows the Sigma doesn't shoot bad
I like my 9VE so much that I think, unless I go revolver, the 40VE will be my next treatment for this sickness.

It's not that bad of a gun. You do get what you pay for and the trigger takes some getting use to. Just don't put it in the same class as a higher end gun. Mine gave me trouble with light reloads, but once I increased the charge it worked fine.

Re: Shows the Sigma doesn't shoot bad
I had a sigma for a few months, 40ve. I thought it was a nice looking gun and very reliable for the price. Ate anything I fed it. I traded it though for a xd 40. Dont regret it at all but im still thinking about gettin a Sv9 since the ammo is cheaper. Pretty accurate once you get usd to the trigger.

Re: Shows the Sigma doesn't shoot bad
Went to the Sportsman Shop today (one of my favorite places in the world). They had a couple sigmas and I gave the trigger a pull after handling a Kimber 1911, I know it's not a fair comparison but wow what a difference. The sigma felt like I was holding a dog's leash with one finger lol.
Read what I say as if I were speaking in a matter of fact, unassuming tone.

Re: Shows the Sigma doesn't shoot bad
okay now go pull the trigger on any smith and wesson wheel guns DA trigger.
It's not a bad trigger. It's diffrent trigger feel altogether. S&W made it to feel like DA trigger of wheel gun. Remenber striker fired pistol was something new for S&W when introduced, and I was told that they dicided to make it like DA trigger for riability reasons, since they had no external safetyAudemus jura nostra defendere
