doesn't look like i'll be able to make this one, wife said to me monday nite after i got back from IDPA, "you can only to do shooting stuff 3 days of of the week." wait until she hears about my new rifle purchase. what is the best way to tell the wife about a new purchase? Last time it was a mossberg, i just brought it home. she was pretty upset.

Silly man, you buy her something as well! Preferably bigger and better than the item you got.
Done. Date extended to May 31.
When I first posted this we had that warm spell. I figured people would get out and shoot. Then it cooled off again. Plus people (me included) get stuck doing their spring lawn & garden work. The right to bear arms isn't for hunting bear. Subliminal Messages

Once finals for college is over I'll see if my dad won't let me get some trigger time on same handguns. I'll do it multiple times over even. More shooting means more brass. More brass means more reloading. More reloading means more shooting!
Planned Firearms
Open- M1911a1 (.45 ACP (duh))
Smith & Wesson Model 29 (.44 Mag)
Colt Python (.357 Mag)
Scoped-Thompson Contender .22 Hornet, 7mm TCU, 7-30 Waters, .35 Remington, uh...actually I'll have to put some of those in the open class. I wish my dad would buy more scopes rather than swap them around all the time. I think he does it to justify shooting them. And .221 fireball. If only ammo was cheap. Wait. I reload. Darn .22 lr.

Damnit! I shot at 5, 7, and 10 yards. Too bad I couldn't log on and check...
Anyhow, my scores for 5, 7, and 10 yds were
10 - 1 3/8"
7 - 7/8"
5 - 1 3/8"
for an average of 1.21" for the three groups.
I used a Glock 20C 10mm with open sights. I used 165 gr FMJs over 9.8 gr Blue Dot.
Too bad it doesn't count... but I figured I'd post the results anyway since I went through the time of measuring and saving my target.
