Talking Most awesome way to cook bacon (and yes, it is firearm related)

Mods, if you feel this belongs in the lounge, no problem...

A Reddit user named Oelund has come up with, without any doubt, the most awesome way to cook bacon.

    Ever.

I grew some hair on my chest just reading about it.

    Here’s what he did.

He took some tin foil and wrapped it around the barrel of his machine gun. Then, he spiral wrapped bacon around the tin foil.

All in good humor. That being said, it appears that from the link here

    http://www.reddit.com/r/Bacon/commen...with_pictures/

That this is a MG that is supposedly 'worn out', soon to be discarded (?!!!)

Anyway, to inject some additional humor...

"You smell that? Do you smell that? Bacon, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of bacon in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that bacon smell, the whole hill. Smelled like - victory."

Agreed... damn that was good... but the cooking method wasn't nearly as cool.

Never cooked on a gun barrel but we did cook a Thanksgiving dinner on the exhaust manifolds of a Jeep and a pair of Toyota FJ Landcruisers one year.

I know people that still make burritos on their rock crawler engines.

I'd like to see them try it with eggs.
