Hello there
I will be an official resident of the Lock Haven area next week. Anyone recommend a gun club out there?

Re: Hello there
Tiadaghton Sportsmen's Association up north along Route 44- its a really nice range from 25-300 yards. They also have cowboy and .22 steel silhouette shoots. Whats great is you can go up there on a Saturday morning and you'll likely be the only one there. All for $25 bucks a year.

Liberty Township Sportsmen's Association- I haven't been to this range yet but there's an active thread elsewhere on the forum about it and it seems to be a decent range.

Southern Clinton County Sportsmen's Association- This range is near Loganton right off I-80 and goes to 200 yards. The range is ok, there are pvc pipes in the ground at 25, 50, and 75 yards but you'll be lucky if they have any backdrop stands to use in them, and now just two strands of wire running across for the 100yd backdrop...
I had a very unpleasant experience with "good 'ol boy" members who accused "the assault rifle guys" of destroying the backdrops and told me the Game Commission would arrest me if they caught me there with my AR and AK and we got into a big argument... Just FYI if you shoot any semi-autos. Cost of membership is also $25 a year I believe.

Theres also Consolidated Sportsmen of Lycoming County. Its North of Montoursville along Route 87 in Loyalsockville so its a 30-some minute drive but its a really nice range with a small bore 100yd range. Dedicated handgun range from REALLY close to 50yds. Trap and Skeet ranges, and a hi-power range that I think goes to 500yds (up the mountain side). Membership is $50 a year. This place is usually busy on the weekends but has a lot of good people.

Welcome to the area! PM me if you wanna go shooting sometime!

Yes, Welcome to Clinton County
I second what LowCap said about the clubs........he advised you well. I would add that Western Clinton County Sportsmen up in Renovo is respectable as well.Adapt, Adjust and Overcome.

Re: Hello there
If you enjoy fly fishing and shooting, then I would recommend adding the Little Pine State Park Range to your travels. Little Pine trout fishing is just ok, haha, and the range is pretty good to. No fee to use the state range as you probably know.

Re: Hello there
T1m0thy, Don't forget Big Fishing Creek between Lamar and Tylersville for nice wild browns and rainbows! One of the best streams in the state.
Also, Liberty Twp Sportsmen near Beech Creek is a decens amd very inexpensive shooting club to join.
