S&W model 10 hand gun frame?

I was looking at a S&W 10 revolver kit for sale and i was wondering if I can purchase a new frame, I have never seen just frames for revolvers for sale anywhere,any input would be appreciated.........thanks .....fred

Rarely. The frame is the gun so you just can't call up S&W and order one. You might find one at a swap meet but that's really a spare parts kit.

You can easily buy a frame for a model 10, it will also come with a barrel, lockwork, hammer, trigger, extractor, crane, grips, springs etc... Forgive my irony, yet I am sure you see my point.

If you did get just a bare frame all of those parts would have to be hand fitted into that revolver. This process would take hours for a master gunsmith and would most likely cost much more then buying a used (or even new) model 10!!!

As mentioned above there is not likely to be any good way to get a decent revolver at a decent price starting with that parts kit. However, if you were to buy one of the Model 15s listed below the parts kit you would have a very fine revolver for $259.
I actually might buy a parts kit as I have 5 K frames and one never knows what parts may be needed in the future???
