    Cool Speed loader Question

I am researching for my boss. He has a Taurus 608. It is an 8 shot .357. He wants to find speed-loaders for it. I have not found an exact match, so can someone tell me if the speed-loader from "ThunderRanchInc.com" that is made for the S&W 627 would work with the Taurus? He is looking for this style as apposed to the moon clips.

He may need to use a more universal recharging method such as speed strips. I can only imagine how large an 8 shot revolver cylinder must be.

This is the primary reason I stay away from "odd ball" guns. Their lack of any aftermarket accessories.

While I don't know for certain, I have to think that an 8-round speedloader meant for an N-frame Smith would work just fine for the Taurus. Cylinder wall thickness (thinness actually) is a finite dimension. Most manufacturers are going to want to make their arm as small/thin as possible without violating any engineering safety precepts. Meaning that an 8-shot cylinder from Smith and one from Taurus are going to be pretty close dimensionally. This fact and the fact the loaders such as HKS have some "wiggle" to them, means that it should work. HKS loaders are relatively inexpensive. I'd buy one to try, especially in light of the fact that the odds are on your side that it will work just fine. Or contact HKS and ask.

There is a less expensive alternative to the Thunder Ranch speed loader which runs about 65 USD:

These run about 25 USD. I do not know if they will fit a Taurus, send them an email and let us know what you find out.
