I got nothing. So here's a bump to keep it near the top.
Good luck. While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I know of one in Fredricksburg that i used to go to. Eashes towing and salvage. There is also one Down here in columbia that i go to now, Silver spring garage.
If i would have heard the conversation yesterday i would have suggested them.

Re: Need some help!
I can say that I've tried Ebersole on 422 and was very unhappy with them, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Pitts at 7th & Lehman and Lefflers at 9th & Maple have been good to me but I haven't had any major repairs done at either place, just tires and other minor stuff. Their attitude, prices and turnaround time were plenty acceptable to me for what I needed.
I do most of my mechanical work myself so I'm not really up on who's good and who's not. I treat mechanics like doctors, I don't use them unless it's an emergency that I can't handle myself. (No offense intended Fingers80002).

Re: Need some help!
Depending on how far you want to go, Kreisers Garage on Elizabethtown Rd. above Manheim is about the best I've found around here. They're quick, reasonable, stand behind their work and you can pick up the vehicle and pay later. I know a couple times we needed the car and the owner just said "pay us when you can".
I know they're not close by but they really are a good shop.Don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff.

Re: Need some help!
Does it actually need work done to it or is it just a matter of looking it over to see if it'll pass or not? If it's just a matter of checking the brake shoes/pads, lights, tires, wiper blades etc. I always do that for my own vehicles but I do that in my driveway and it looks like rain from now until April 1, I don't even have a carport to park under. What kind of vehicle is it? I have tools and experience for minor repairs on GM & Ford but I've never done a brake job on any import cars or Chrysler products.
