Thumbs down Gander Mountain $75 3rd party transfer fee

I was at Gander Mountain in Muncy on Sat the 20th and thay now have a sign posted at the firearms registers that they now charge $74.99 to use their FFL for third party transfers on all handguns and longguns.

Am I missing something? Don't they screw people enought on prices.

I know better than to buy there, I go to real gun stores but I could not belive that they are going to charge that.

They set the price so high, because they really don't want to bother, but won't come right out and say that.

Surprized they don't charge to park or use the restroom. Transfers at Troxell's $15, Sauers $20.

I shop Nationals, Troxells and Sauers. I only go to gander to see something if any of those 3 don't have it first.

Nothing like destroying their attitude of "good will" towards the customer!

The more I think about it im glad they charge that much now, that way more people will go to local gun shops for transfers...

I think they must price their firearms high for the same reason.

It's been like that for awhile at the Moon/Robinson store.

The only upside is GM will price-match in-stock guns between stores - as does Dick's and Dunhams.

I haven't been to a gander mountain since they had a $40 price tag on a box of WWB .38spl a while back. They're almost as bad as Target World when it comes to prices.

    I hate Gander Mt.

Prices are HIGH on most items I look at there. I bought an LCR for 399 at a local shop. They had the same model (no CT laser grip) for $550.

When I have transferred at a shop, I have also purchased from the shop - ammo, mags, etc. I agree that Gander doesn't want to be bothered, but I think that they are missing out on many sales - accessories, ammo, etc.
