    Default Input on BUIS

I just picked up the "Gander Mountain Special" Smith and Wesson M&P15 with an EOTech holo on it. Now that's all fine and dandy but I wanted to put a good set of BUIS (front and rear) on it. I was looking at the MagPul MBUS but one site said you couldn't mount it on a railed gas block.

I was looking at the Troy Ind. BUIS similar to what comes on the Ruger SR556.

Anyway, please let me know what you think/any ideas for me.

    Thanks,
    Doc Kingsbury

Here's the product page about the rifle:

My M&P 15X came with a Troy folding rear sight & it's rock solid. It looks to be the same one as on the Ruger. My front sight is the standard fixed type.

I currently run the MBUS rear sight.
    Along with an EOTECH 516.
    No complaints.
However I am considering moving the MBUS to a soon to be purchased
M&P 15-22 and going with the Troy Battle sight.
