Where to get fingerprinted?

I need to be fingerprinted for my Florida CCW renewal application.

Does anyone have any idea where to get this done?

I'm thinking that the sheriff's office may be able to do it.
I was told PSU police can do it but as a Penn State employee
I'm a little hesitant to go to them.

Any help would be appreciated

I went to the PSP barracks near me. They have great system. They didn't charge me anything. During the process, he asked what this was for. I told him to get a Utah Pistol Permit. He just smiled at me.

Everybody says this. But I recommend calling and asking first. When I went to my local barracks in Sept 2009...after waiting 30 minutes for my turn...I was informed they "could not print for out of state weapons permits"....

I've been printed by PSP Rockview before... they still use Ink, ICK! I have also been printed by PSU PD many times now and it's cake because they had the first digital inkless system in the area. Now the CCCF is open PSU doesn't process everyone in the county I still have PSU do it but that is some officers that I am friends with doing me a favor. I'm not sure if CCCF would be able to do it for you, I know they have the inkless machine for the county now. You could always give them a buzz.

may i ask why you would be hesitant to get it done at PSU?

The reason I don't want PSU to do it is that I do not like the PSU no
weapons policy as applied to law abiding PA CCW permit holders.

I don't believe that they would be very friendly to fingerprinting for
a CCW permit.

I went to my sheriff's dept. Mainly because it's closer.

Anyone wanting fingerprinted in Centre county is sent to the Centre County prison. Call them and they will give you the hours. They have a modern electronic system and they are very happy to do it for you. I think it is called the Central Booking facility. There is a fee for the service.
