    Smile OC in East Stroudsburg

It's too damn hot today to bother trying to conceal it.

Went to Wawa in east stroudsburg with a friend, got a sandwich. the girl making the sandwitch was friendly and chatted. One guy did a double take while I was picking out an iced tea.

Stopped by A&A, Warners Surplus and Mr Z's on the way to the range. No incidents at any of the places, nobody seemed to care.

Was wearing hiking boots, 5.11 pants and a black tshirt.

Thumbs up Re: OC in East Stroudsburg

    Good for you!

So none of the below happened to you I take it?

    1) Detained by police?
    2) Shot first by the "bad guys"?
    3) Killed because you lost your tactical advantage?
    4) accosted because you ware drawing attention to yourself (aka: showing off) by carrying a handgun within your rights and the law of the locality?
    5) Had your gun taken away from you by a thug looking for a firearm?

    No?...

Because according to some internet know-it-alls... YOU SHOULD HAVE ! - LOL!

OK, so I was 1/2 expecting the E Stroudsburg pd to descend on me. Nothing of the sort happened. The only person that did a double take is probably an out of state student.

At Mr Z's I tried some of the samplers they have by the entrance, everyone was very friendly.

At Warners Surplus the part time guy from NJ looked over but he seemed to be more interested in what I was carrying then the fact that I was.

Doubt anyone could have missed a colt combat commander on my hip.

    Everyone,
I really appreciate the OC reports I have been following in the Forum. Perhaps to some it is a non-issue, but for me it has been quite the eye opener!
Pa Patriot and others have stirred something in me.
I have no firm position on this subject...yet.
I definately agree with the right to Keep and Bear, and may have to start this discussion in NC. We have had the right to OC for more than 200 years, but generally speaking, no one does here....If you OC and the windblows your shirt or Jacket over the weapon, there are plenty of LEos that will charge your ass with illegal CC.
Cost me $1500.00, and a night in jail. Now with a LTCF it is not an issue...But they took my handgun I carried for nearly 30 years...Punk latino cop not even from here screwed me heavily. I wish I'd OC'd that night for sure.

So please keep these reports coming. I believe it is more important than any of us really know yet.
    Sorry for the rant,
