Default Took the GF out shooting for the 1st time....

Its been warm the past few days. So I figured nows is as good a time as any to get her used to shooting. Started off with the .22 conversion kits in the Glock 19 and AR. After she got used to those, we jumped right into the AK and 870, took the conversions kits out and put some rounds through those as well. She did great considering it was her first time. ;-) *EDIT* She had a great time and cant wait to do it again. Already in the process of getting her a carry permit. She has along way to go before she can carry. But at least she'll have the license in the mean time. Thinking about getting her an air soft glock to practice her stance and grip with.

How did it end? Did she enjoy it? Express an interest in shooting again?

Good times! I'm hoping it doesn't rain all weekend and my fiance and I will head out for her first trip. Maybe size up something she is a little more comfortable with for the future.

Congratulations. It's great that you can share your interests with your GF. It's even better that she liked the experience enough to want to go again. Good stuff.

I finally noticed a gun or two in your photos. Is that a Vltor stock on your AR?

Also, I take the better half out to eat every time we shoot. She rarely declines an offer to the range.

Something I always thought would make an interesting scenario: if you decide to propose marriage*, do so in the middle of a shooting session at a range. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when she recalls that story -- and she *will*, in explicit detail -- to her friends. Can't you see a bunch of jealous girls punching their boyfriends in the arm..."you'd never do that for me!". [8^) FWIW, I've never been accused of being a romantic fool.

    * Make damn sure she's chomping at the bit to accept.
