    Default Free clay shooting locations?

I am interested in clay shooting with some friends; we plan to use a hand thrower to throw clays for each other. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with different places to go in the area where clay shooting is allowed legally and we don’t have to pay a fee to use the grounds. Can this be done on game lands? If anyone could provide a list of locations that would be great.

Get a real thrower.... throwing by hand will get annoying very fast for both the shooter and thrower

First of all.. NO it is not allowed on SGL's...... only some of the states rifle ranges allow shooting clay pigeons.... you can check out the PGC site to find these...

and like West Chester said, get together and buy a good trap thrower... one that mounts on a tire or into the ground with stakes would work fine... it lets you set up different types of throwing area from left to right to straight down the pipe... also you can throw doubles... we use to do that and use two different color birds... ya had to shoot the white one first, then the orange.. all kinds of games you can play with it...

    Good luck and have fun

Hand throwers are trash. What has been said about other throwers or get a Trius 1-Step.

Far for you but others may enjoy. Thursday nights are open to the public.

Look for a rod and gun club near you, they may have nights open to the public.

Nowwaitaminnit! Hand throwers do have their function - the first ten targets for noobs and children. Or old ladies.

But then ya gotta man up.
