Based solely on the newspaper article, my read is that Mr. Metzgar had has gun taken from him by someone else who thought he was "reaching for it".

I'm assuming that Mr. Metzgar is the "Scranton Open Carrier" this thread is talking about.

I wonder where OCers are supposed to keep their arms, since if they stand and sit like normal people, they always look 'like they're reaching for it'. We've had one or more threads here about 'who rests their hand or elbow on their carry piece'.
