Smile Concealed Carry Permit - Montgomery County

Just got my carry permit today. Local PD provided Police Check form next day...could have had same day. but Chief was out of the office..

Finally, got up to Norristown, and it took about 10 minutes once I found the Sheriff's Office.......

A good experience, at least here in Montgomery County.....

Great story!! Can you share with me where it says permit on it? Did you ask permission to get it?
It is a license. There is truly a difference...

    Now carry responsibly!!

    Congrats.

Just think of how much quicker it woulda been if Montco sheriff didn't require that illegal police check card....

License To Carry Firearms...says so right on the card...

Welcome to the club, Rugerman. I agree that once you jump through the illegal hoops (PD check chard), Norristown is fairly painless. Took me longer to park than to get my license.

    permit noun (pûr´mît, per-mît´)
    2. A document or certificate giving permission to do something; a license or warrant: a building permit.

It's like arguing about whether you drive a car or an automobile.

the difference between permits and licenses isn't a matter of semantics in PA. there are sportsman's permits, which allow for limited carry, under certain situations, and licenses, which allow concealed carry anywhere carry is legal, under all circumstances.

No, it's just being anal retentive to demonstrate superiority. Just like if I was to make fuss everytime someone asked about a pilot's "license." Or if you were to talk about the back window of your car and I made a fuss over that terminolgy.
