Question I could use some shooting buds and a good place to shoot.

Hi everyone! I just moved to the area from New Jersey and it's not so fun going to the state gamelands to shoot by myself. I've been looking into joining one or more of the local clubs. It seems like the Manheim Sportsman's Association is closest to what I am looking for, but I do enjoy some casual plinking. Ideally, I'd like to practice some tactical scenarios as well.

On a side note, my local gunshop is pretty cool and I really enjoy shopping there but I'm trying not to become one of those nagging dudes that just hang out to shoot the crap all day without buying aything.

Anyhow, if anyone knows of a very cool place to shoot or would like to take an outing, let me know.

Thanks for the Mount Joy suggestions. I did check out what they have to offer as far as ranges on their website. I definately would like a place with indoor/outdoor pistol, multiuse rifle ranges out to 100 yards, and a place to shoot skeet/trap. I've never shot sporting clays but i would love to try that too.

I'm still open to other suggestions or ideas if anyone else has some.

I want to start shooting also. I belong to Milton Grove Sportsmans. I am only allowed to bring a guest one time. I am retired & live in Mountville. Let me know.

Oh, I found the candy! Since moving here, I've purchased a romanian AK, an Ar15, and soon a Nagant 91/30 when I can.

I really don't miss having to wait 9 or 10 months for a permit every time I wanted to buy a pistol. I also didnt like the paperwork being up to the local police as they often inflicted their own anti-gun owner politics into the process.
