Moving up in size a bit from the Kahr CW9 - CZ P07 Duty
I am looking at the CZ P07 Duty in 9mm for the next weapon.
I want a hammer (not striker fired), SA cocked and locked capable. The P07 comes with decocker or safety (you can easily switch between then) for either DA/SA operation or SA operation.
It's dimensionally very equivalent to the Glock 19, and holds 16+1 (once you break in the mag springs).
CZ USA has excellent customer service and has been around for a long time. This also fed into my decision.
Anyone have any talking points on concealing a G19 size pistol? I see lots of people say it should be easy to conceal and they carry them daily. Obviously this is going to be larger than the CW which is a very slim single stack.
CZ pistols have a very large following and a few very good custom shops putting out great upgrades and smithing options.
I'd love to keep both but the wife is harping on meLast edited by falcn; March 2nd, 2010 at 01:23 PM.

Re: Moving up in size a bit from the Kahr CW9 - CZ P07 Duty
I have the CZ-75 P07 and love mine. I don't get to shoot it as much as I would like (I've been on a 9mm buying streak for some reason and the CZ lost some attention). It certainly wouldn't be my first choice for concealment. It's a full-size pistol and IMO difficult to conceal (not that I've tried, but I have tried to conceal comparable sized pistols). I also have a pretty thin build, so if you're a bigger guy, you may find it easier to conceal a larger gun. You've gotta lay down the law and tell the wife you're getting a new gun and keeping your Kahr.

What holsters are you using for it?

I don't have a holster for mine, since it is a range gun, not a carry gun for me. But, I am comparing the size of the CZ with others of similar size, such as my Glock 31 (though the CZ is a bit smaller than the 31). I have a Crossbreed Holster for the Glock and love it... but I just don't like the size of it for concealment. YMMV though. It's not exactly a full-size gun, but pretty close. Some people have no problem concealing a full-size pistol. I do. I also don't wear large, baggy clothing and have a thin build, so it makes it more difficult for me to conceal.
Here's a range report I did with mine when I first got it:

Thanks for the report.
I plan on trying OWB carry in a leather pancake holster similar to my Desantis Speed Scabbard - that's usually how I conceal with an untucked polo shirt. Most (other) times I just OC.FNX-9 Two-tone

Nice little article that shows how to swap the controls from decocker to safety.
Also talks about some other features of the gun.FNX-9 Two-tone
