My new chrome Tisas FS9
I finally purchased this chrome Tisas FS9 after several months of waiting for it to be available. The blued and dual tone are readily available, but the chrome was hard to come by. It's manufactured in Turkey and imported by ATI. I've only gotten to take it out one. I put 300 rounds through it with no problems whatsoever. Between the five inch barrel, heavy weight, and ported barrel, this gun shoots very nice and is accurate. It's very solid; the platform was originally designed for a full auto pistol, but they had to make it semi-auto to sell here in the US.

Re: My new chrome Tisas FS9
I like it! I never saw one in person but from what I've read I was impressed. Is it as thin as it looks? Where did you get it and how much did ya spend...if ya don't mind me asking?

Re: My new chrome Tisas FS9
I got it at thegunsource.com. They still have this exact model in stock for $378.91 plus twenty bucks shipping.
By thin, do you mean the width of the gun? Or the thickness of the metal parts?
If you mean the width, then no. It's not very thin. I measured it at 1.5" wide at the widest part. It's a full-size pistol by any measure. Side by side with my full size Para 1911 double stack, it's about the same size (a bit larger) and the grip is a little wider. The FS9 has a double stack 18 round magazine, which makes for a pretty girthy weapon.
If you mean thickness of the metal parts, then, again, no. It's very solid and well made. I am very impressed so far.
The drawback to this gun are that magazines, grips, and holsters are impossible to find. I read on one internet source that Beretta 92FS magazines work, but I tried one from my beretta and it doesn't. It's very close, but not quite. Maybe with some modifications, but I didn't look into it very far.
