When I bought my Beretta shotgun at Walmart before Christmas the department manager carried it outside for me. I thought that it was strange. After thinking about it, I concluded that it was an insurance thing. I thought that if I injured someone while still in the store then they, Walmart, could be held liable for furnishing me with a weapon. Once outside it becomes my decision to being it into the store.
