Jodie Foster's New Movie: Gun Owners Beware
I know there was another thread similar about a week ago where Jodi Foster called for "Common Sense Gun Control" (link), but it seems she's updated her views since then...
Foster, who was protected by bodyguards while would-be Ronald Reagan assassin John Hinckley harassed her and said in 2002 that she does not have security now, addressed the issue of guns:(Source)
EW: What do you think is the larger social commentary of The Brave One, which in some ways plays as a straight-up Dirty Harry revenge movie?
FOSTER: Here's my commentary: I don't believe that any gun should be in the hand of a thinking, feeling, breathing human being. Americans are by nature filled with rage-slash-fear. And guns are a huge part of our culture. I know I'm crazy because I'm only supposed to say that in Europe. But violence corrupts absolutely.*
Another Hollyweirdo I can't patronize!

I would say this is a shocker, but I hate lying on an empty stomach.....lol
Angy americans should not have guns, they should hire bodyguards instead.
And if you belive Ms Foster still doesnt have some type of security staffed with hot headed americans then I have some prime real estate for you in the 9th District of Lousiana for sale reaaaaaal cheap.

Re: Jodie Foster's New Movie: Gun Owners Beware
Heh another Hollywierdo mouthing off. No surprises there.
What really P's me off is that this movie looks like it rocks! Have you seen the previews for this movie? Good looking thriller about revenge.
She's just another two-faced hollywood actress/actor who is willing to show murder/commision of felonies/pain/use of guns in a "play" situation for money and fun.....but In Real Life she would like to disarm all of us.
-She has private security
-She has Money
-She is surrounded by people who think like she does.
-She is SAFE
People like her don't realize that the ability to freely express yourself is insured by the private possession of firearms and a solid distrust of political leaders.
Again - from OneLung:
People who are afraid of firearms and and want them banned are also usually those who are of a political leaning such that they are usually the first to die when a totalitarian nation comes to power.
So now you have a choice to make.
-Be pissed off but see the movie anyway, thereby supporting her tacitly.
-Be pissed off and don't see the movie
-Write a letterNEED should never enter into a discussion about RIGHTS

To F'ing bad she opened her pie hole.
We were going to go see this movie. But my wife and I have a choice too on where to spend our hard earned money.
And we will not be spending it on her movie.
$20 will buy 100+ rounds of 9MM to further satisfy my "rage-slash-fear".
Stupid bitch.

Re: Jodie Foster's New Movie: Gun Owners Beware
Sometimes there is a political agenda behind some of these Hollywood movies. Jodie Foster/Hollywood wants all of the ignorant people out there to think that when violent crimes happen to people like the character who Jodie Foster portrays, they end up buying GUNS and go on a shooting rampage in a real ugly way!
I'll probably go and see this movie because I want to see how BAD the movie makes good/honest gun owners look. I've already seen the new movie "Death Sentence" that stars Kevin Bacon, and the storyline of the movie is kind of similar to "The Brave One." I won't reveal anything about the movie because I don't want to get yelled at! Lol!
