when you say you "built it" do you mean you bought a lower parts kit and installed it?

if so, everything should fit and work without modification. i would think you have an out of spec lower, an LPK with some bad parts, or you put it together wrong.

the first thing i would do is take it all apart and put it back together again and see if that fixes it. if not, i would break out a micrometer to see if the lower was obviously out of spec. if not, i would contact the supplier of the LPK and and ask them to replace it with a new one.

Make sure the disconnector spring is in the right way. BIG end DOWN.

People mess this up all the time.

Do you have a source for the specs so I know what I'm measuring?

The trigger is all one solid piece, and it was wide enough that it brushed against the walls of the lower and I had to force it down. I just assumed that was normal.

So either my trigger is too wide or the lower is too narrow. I have a micrometer so it should be easy to check if I know what the proper measurements are.

Yes. Both the lower and the LPK are from Del-Ton, but I assembled them.

Could you list all the parts you used for the lower including the manufacturers name?

Well at least for the the trigger group?

Sure. Every single part came from Del-Ton.

I bought the lower at a local gun shop, but it's a Del-Ton lower. The LPK came directly from Del-Ton though, and I just used the standard trigger that came with it.

I assume they manufacture it themselves, but I have no proof of that one way or another.

While I didn't use a micrometer to verify the big end was down, I eyeballed it. I suppose I can pull it out and measure to make sure.

I'll owe you a beer if my calibrated eyeball is off

well, that makes it relatively easy...at least you will not have to play "it's the other guy's fault" game.

maybe call del-ton and ask them about it.
