Petition Time!!!!
I've been attending the Northampton County Republican Committee meetings for a few years now, gave up on the national party. The last two as a committee person, and area chair(recently relinquished due to paramedic school demands).
I am trying to get concerned conservatives involved with driving our party back into the right direction at the local levels. Example: I don't feel the GOP should be 'endorsing' candidates before our party members vote at the primary polls. It embodies a 'top-down' control, when we, the people, is where the power should lie.
If you are interested in becoming a committee person, please feel free to contact me. I can help with information and have petitions.
Although any registered Republican can run for for out county's committee, I really am only really interested in spending time with fellow Constitutionalists. If necessary/able, I will walk with you in your community.
My time is schedule limited, so on a first come first served basis. PM me if you are interested.

You gave up on the national party, are you pleased with how the county is doing things? I see way to much of the same.

You gave up on the National Party, but like Mccain?

Re: Petition Time!!!!
The county level party is highly achievable by new members, unlike the national level. So focusing on getting dedicated people involved, we can make changes.
Now ignore the trolls, and realize, if you are unhappy with the direction it is going, get involved. The only person that can stop you is you.

Re: Petition Time!!!!
I am invloved, as a matter of fact I have my petition filled with signatures and ready to go. The problem as i see it Tom, is this, the county wants their people. No two ways about it. If you disagree, explain the seats of the
137th and 138th. WHat's your take?

Re: Petition Time!!!!
I supported democracy and voted (held up my ballet for others to see) to ratify the local (138th) committee members' decision. Not living in the 138th, I gave much credit to their decision, and felt it was dirty politics to not support them. Just because rules say you can be a tyrant, doesn't wipe you clean from your tyrannical acts.
FYI, for those who aren't up to speed about what was asked about the 138th, some blog stuff about it:

Re: Petition Time!!!!
Kudos to you Tom for Doing what was right. In a real represenative democracy, they should have just ratified the vote of the 138th committee members. If they are not careful, they will turn off more volunteers. In reality, they can't afford to lose any. I personally have been turned off to the party since they turned their collective backs on Pat Toomey. When Santorum and Bush jumped in bed for spector, they lost many conservative votes. And look what that got us. (always thought spector would turn again) Keep fighting the good fight.
By the way, what do you think of the 137th seat situation?
