Current LTCF turn times

I am a new forum member and thought I would update this thread. I dropped off my application in Westchester on June 9 and received it yesterday in the mail. That's a damn fine turn around outside of getting it issued in the office while there. There were two men and also a woman doing the same while I was there. Good to see.

Not too bad considering... When I went a few months ago the deputy told me to look for it in the mail in about 4 weeks, I had my LTCF in 13 days...

Yes!! I finally get to post in this thread. After probably the most annoying 17 days of my life got it in the mail. Time for the range!! :-)

I applied for mine on August 25th. Still waiting but tomorrow is the 14 day mark and from what I have been reading it usually takes about 2 weeks. Will update when it arrives!

I just renewed mine in Chester County. First, I had to call them to get the renewal formed mailed to me as it did not come in the 60 days prior to my expiration as they say. The renewal application came a week after I called. Approaching the 45 day from application date, I again called as I had not yet received my renewed LTCF. The officer stated THREE TIMES, "ya know we have 45 days", before he realized that I was already at 45 days. A week later I received it in the mail. The officer did say they had a backlog.

Figured I would update, Today is the end of the 18th day. Really hoping it comes soon. Is this amount of time strange or pretty normal?

See above. My renewal (Chester County also) took the entire 45 days. It came about a week or so before mine expired, so I was OK.

Got mine in Philly..

I have to look back ... It was in the 22 day zone for me.

It was approved in 18 then mailing with a weekend
