    Default Girlfriend driving my car w handgun

    I have a pa LTCF and I usually carry my 9mm locked in a case, behind the back seat. Somethime my girlfriend takes my car (and handgun). Would she (or I) be in trouble if she is caught w my car by herself with my handgun??

    thanks ken

    If she does not have a LTCF. Yes she is breaking the law. Yes she could get in trouble.

    It is concealed in your car, whether locked or not. Make sure she gets her LTCF or don't let her drive without you in the car.

    she would probably run into some problems.

    6106(b):

    "concealed" has nothing to do with it

    6106(b) basically says the ltcf can extend to a parent or spouse if they are driving your car with your gun in it so long as the owner of the car has a ltcf

    IANAL, some may read it different

    Wife of an LTCF holder does not have to be licensed to keep a handgun in the car, even when you are not.
