OC first date

This hasn't been a problem for me for the most part. I've been carrying only about a year and only dated a bit, it was obvious. Previously, and similarly, women knew I was into guns.

Now it's winter and my firearm is not always visible when I meet a new person.

If you were going out on a first date, with someone that had no idea you were into guns and the subject never came up, would you OC or conceal? I'm thinking conceal all the way on a first date.

I would be concealed but bring up the subject of guns during the first date~better to deal with it up front. Doesn't mean you have to admit to carrying if it turns out she's one of Obama's minions, but you'll know.

I say conceal carry on the first date and here's why:

Lets say you are OC'ing and you run across a LEO who has a problem with it.
The LAST thing a girl wants to be is embarrassed on a first date.

And even though the LEO may let you go after a few minutes of talking, she will still be embarrassed..

Let me clarify, I dont think she would be embarrassed that you are OCing, she might just be embarrassed because the police are harassing you. And lord knows there are plenty of LEO's who want to be a "tough guy" in front of females.

If you really dig the girl, you want the first date to go smooth and without any hiccups.

Then, after you get to know each other, OC as much as you want.

Carry however you feel comfortable carrying, whether it be OC or CC. if you are an OCer like me, i would OC.

I'd CC. I order something to drink then bring up the latest campus shooting.I'd lay it out plainly to her that you practice your 2nd amendment rights. Let her know its a constitutional thing not paranoia driven thing. If she don't like it finish your meal and say in the voice of our chairman in chief, Sayonara.

I would OC, but I would also let the date know ahead of time. To CC when you normally OC would be a lie, in my eyes. Just my opinions.

I CC'd when I went on my first date. I wasn't sure if she'd be ok with it, but then we started talking about and she loved it, and asked if I had it with me then and I said yes and she said "Well I honestly feel safer"...Even brought out a PAFOA flier in the car! haha.

She still cant tell when I am carrying and when I am not.

Personally I would CC. People my age seem to REALLY be freaked out by guns, especially the girls I know.

Date!? What the hell is a date?

My wife & I have been married 66 years. (Well, not to each other. She was married 25, I was married 26, & we've been married to each other 15. That equals 66, right?) I'd like to help, but I can't remember what a date was like.
