Default Saturday, February 13th in Philadelphia

This Saturday the 13th, a group of 'concerned citizens' has decided to protest outside of a friend of mine's gun shop. This is a guy who has thrown people out of his shop for even seeming like straw buyers, and who goes the extra mile to keep copies of everything. He is my friend and he has been a close personal friend of one of my best friends for about a decade.

This Saturday the "protestors" will be outside the Shooter Shop at 2001 E Allegheny Ave (the corner or Emerald and Allegheny) in the Port Richmond/Kensington area of Philadelphia at approximately 12 noon. The shop opens at 11. Anyone in the area who would like to stop in, have a cup of coffee, buy a box of ammo, shoot the breeze or just make the protesters look stupid when there are 2 gun owners for every one of them (they only tend to be able to get a dozen people out at BEST for these things, so we would like to see them get buried in the crush of decent, gun owning folk).

Oh. And to add insult to injury, the owner of the shop had a heart attack this past weekend and is unlikely to be able to be present (which is pretty rare). Any questions, you can email me (dr.eimer1@comcast.net) or call the shop at 215.426.2215.

Seriously folks, this is as serious as a heart attack--well almost. This good and decent, law abiding gun shop owner needs a show of support. He is an honest and caring FFL to the letter of the law! His shop is in a rough neighborhood, AND the anti-gun folks love to make their loony points in inner city neighborhoods where there is a lot of criminal activity and violence. As if the law abiding residents of these neighborhoods do not need more protection!

Fact is that residents of these neighborhoods ARE on their own. The cops cannot and will not be there to protect them when their home is invaded! It is fuzzy reasoning by the anti-gun lunatics if you can call it reasoning at all. If a gun shop is in a bad neighborhood, then it must be selling to criminals?

Anyway, the people who will be demonstrating outside of the Shooter Shop are affiliated with any and all anti-gun organizations. They need to observe the truth which is that law abiding gun shops do not sell blasters to criminals. Of course, criminals do get their hands on firearms that at one point in time were sold somewhere LEGALLY and were manufactured somewhere LEGALLY. That does NOT make the firearm manufacturers or the firearm distributors or the gun shops culpable or responsible for the crimes committed by the Violent Criminal Actors (VCAs)! That is like saying that Ford is responsible for the crime of a hit and run or DUI driver.

So, a show of support would be nice if you live in the area.

    Yours truly,

    /Bruce Eimer
