PA Non-Resident LTCFs to Require Application In Person????
What new law are they talking about? I've been hearing a lot about this effort to standardize and modernize our licensing process. Does anyone know where to find the text of any legislation regarding this?

Re: PA Non-Resident LTCFs to Require Application In Person????
I hope this change is quickly met with an equal protection challenge from some out of state resident.
The only value to reducing the number of licenses by implementing a prejudicial in-person signature system is to reduce the number of people having LTCFs. Only tyrants want that.
I will have to review the statute, but I'm fairly certain the General Assembly didn't pass law to demand in-person signatures and this is of a regulatory nature.

I think this was passed a couple years back and must be implemented by March 2011 and that's why we're hearing so much about it now as counties scramble to get grants to buy the equipment needed.

If other states can do it by requiring applicant to send a pic...than PA can do the same.
Bucks and Montco better not say they have to raise their fee...they should already have their equipment paid for already...
