Re: How fast do you get you LTCC in Montgomery county?
I just got my LTCC today. I handed in my police check card to Upper Dublin Township on Memorial day. I just dropped it off to dispatch. I call them the next wendsday and the sherrif said that he would get to it that day. The next day they called and said it was done and that they would leave it at dispatch for me to pick up since i would be coming after hours. I picked it up that night and went to Norristown courthouse the next morning. Got the license in about 15 mins. all in all, no problems getting my license and everything went extremely smooth.

Re: How fast do you get you LTCC in Montgomery county?
One day for the check card to be complete by the Chief here in Jenkintown. Would have been the same day, but he was leaving for a meeting when I dropped off the card. Picked up the completed check card next day and off to Norristown. The process at Norristown took about 15 minutes. Overall very pleased with my experience. In theory, could have had the LTCC in one day!!

Re: How fast do you get you LTCC in Montgomery county?
Update: Got my LTCF today. It took about 35 min at the court house due to their system being down. He had to enter my info 3 times. There were about 6 other people there for the same thing.
Whitemarsh PD took 3 days to get the card. So total time 4 days (tue-fri)

Re: How fast do you get you LTCC in Montgomery county?
Now, what if someone who was going to go get their LTCF went right into the courthouse, and when told they need to go get a check card, they simply respond with,
"No I don't. By requiring me to obtain paperwork or clearance above and beyond that which is detailed in (cite the proper firearms law here), you will be comitting a crime and I will be forced to pursue legal action against the Sherriff's office. Now, I'd like to go ahead and fill out the application, by the letter of the law."
Would you be laughed out of the sherriff's office? Would they think twice about it? Or would they arrest you for DC?

Re: How fast do you get you LTCC in Montgomery county?
Just renewed today. I had printed out the application off the website last week. First and last time are correct.
Parked outside couirthouse near the steps. Put in 45 quarters for an hour and checked watch, time 0845. Went in no knives or firearms, just the bare minimum.
Got to the sherriffs office and there were 2 ahead of me. The deputies were on the phones. The civilian asked who's next, habded him the application and signed it. He went to his desk, I stood back looked at the clock 0857. Called my name, tppk the picture, handed me the sheet and told to go through the glass doors to pay. Came back handed the receipt, "That's your copy." hands me the license says it's good for 5 yrs and to have a good one.
Going down the outside stairs to the car, time 0903!
If at all possible suggest to go first thing.
As a side note. Did ask about a deceased license holder. Was told that they mark the license not to send a renewal notice.Last edited by c3prret; July 16th, 2010 at 03:27 PM. Reason: correct time
