Gem City Gun Club will be offering a NRA Basic Handgun Training class on March 6th and 7th. The class is approximately 10 hours and will be split between Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 AM each day. Class will be held in our heated indoor range. The class is suited for all persons including women, men and young adults that are looking for a good start in firearms instruction. During the class we will cover:
- Handgun safety
- Types of handguns
- The parts of a handgun and their function
- Safe storage and cleaning of handguns
- Basic marksmanship
- Live-fire exercises with small caliber handguns (provided with the class).

We have 7 NRA certified instructors that will be available during the class. If you have your own handguns and would like to have us help you with their specifics, then you are welcome to bring them. If you do bring your own firearm, please bring the correct ammunition about 50 rounds.
