S&W M&P 15/22 range report
Thei is the first time shooting this new rifle. Ive all the warnings about how these dedicated 22's are picky on brand of ammo.
I stocked up on several brands of ammo.
Winchester wildcat 40Gr HV....no faliures
Winchester Super X 40 Gr HV 1300fps.......no faliures
Federal champion 40 Gr 1240fps solid lead........no faliures
****Winchester Supreme 32Gr plated HP 1640fps...3-6 per mag failed to eject.,failed to reload, seems like the 1640 fps is a typeo, the most powerful is the worst. they just didnt have enough power to cycle the bolt.***

Re: S&W M&P 15/22 range report
I got my M&P 15-22 two weeks ago, but have not had a chance to shoot it yet. Thanks for the info, because I read a lot of reviews about the ammos too.

Re: S&W M&P 15/22 range report
I have had mine for a few months now and have mostly used bulk CCI and Federal without much of a problem. The only issue I have has was an occasional stovepipe from a bad magazine load. I would say it happens 1 out of every three magazines. Not a big deal.
The best thing about this gun is you can shoot over 500 rounds for about $20.00. I love my 22's.

If you are ever interested, Bucks county Fish and Game has 22 pistol and rifle shoots every wed night. It costs $3 to shoot. If you ever want to go let me know.

Re: S&W M&P 15/22 range report
another tidbit of observation is that the ammo that failed has a crimp in the center of the brass,an attempt was made to copper jacket them, but was poorly done, with a pinhole HP.
