Walmart in North Hanover
They finally got some .22lr Mini-mag hp's in earlier this week. took 5 boxes, at the register the guy asked if they were for a rifle or pistol. I told him it was for my pistol, then he demanded to see ID so he could fill out "paperwork" for the state police. I asked him if he realized the store was in PA and not in MD, he said it's corporate policy. So I asked him if it's corporate policy to be the dogs of an illegal movement by the staties. He shrugged. I said fine, the ammo isn't for my pistol, it's for my single shot rifle. He re-rang them up in the computer under rifle and they went through just fine w/ no problems and no additional "paperwork".
Few hours ago just picked up a few boxes of Remington .40 180g JHP from the same walmart @ the same counter. Didn't ask for ID, paperwork, or even if it was for a rifle/pistol. Gave the kid they money for them and walked right out the store.
WTF is this? Anybody else run into this crap?

Re: Walmart in North Hanover
I've been buying a lot of wwb 9mm at that store when they have it, they'v'e been out for over a month now, but I've never had anybody fill out any paperwork, I'm 21 and I usually don't get carded, I usually just pay for the ammo at the checkout up front.

I got the same questions ask at the walmart in mechanicsburg. I was almost afraid to tell them it was for a pistol. I'm assuming they ask because you have to be 21 to buy handgun ammo.
