Default Oh Noo!!! Not another gun!

My gun addiction continues. I only bought four guns in the 1990's: a Marlin 336C 30-30, a Ruger P95DC 9 mm, a S&W Model 60 38 Special and a Ruger Single Six 22/22 mag. Make that five: a 3-band musket for Civil War reenacting.

    I bought nine last year. A DPMS .223 with a 5.56 barrel, a Henry 22 rifle, a Ruger LCP, a Keltec P32, a Ruger GP100 357, an XD Subcompact .40 cal, an XD 45, a Beretta 22, and yes a HiPoint C-9 9mm.

Now I'm picking up a Walther PK380 this weekend. I may need group therapy(on the range of course). Pictures to follow.

You are not alone in your addiction. I try to buy one a year. I'm at 18 with #19 on order. My wife jokes around and says I need to a group called "firearm addicts anonymous". I laugh every time she says it and reply with " you need shoe addicts anonymous". At least we both laugh about it.

I find myself occassionaly saying, "oh heck, I forgot I had that one." It's like finding money under the sofa cusions. My biggest problem is that I have sold a few in order to fund other guns and then regretted letting the sold gun go. For instance, I had a GP100 like the one in your pic. I wish I wouldn't have let that one go even though I love the gun I got in trade. To me, THAT is a gun problem.

Yes we all suffer the symptoms of sellers remorse, new gun envy, big gun envy and better gun envy. Darn I almost forgot ammo envy. But anyway it is an illness for which there is no cure only treating the symptoms. So just keep buying the guns and ammo and telling the wife this is the only treatment option other then poverty. And even then poverty only makes the symptoms worse.

I once asked the wife to find $1,000 worth of stuff she bought a couple years ago so we could see if retained the same value as my guns.

<silence> followed by, "yeah, good point."

This year I told her what we got for a tax refund and she asked what gun I was getting. LOL I told her I wasn't and she said that I needed to have some fun. ha! By gosh, I think she really did understand my point.

its a sickness we can all love.. Ive taken to buying ammunition on line instead of going to the gun shop... where the sickness strikes hardest and can not be overcome. My hands and workshop always have an aroma of Hoppes .... I have filled up two safes, next will be buying just a vault door and building a concrete block room in the garage.
