Federal XM9HA (147gr. HST @ 1180FPS)
So I haven't seen a thread on this round here and figured I would share this opportunity with the HST fans here that have been having issues getting stock. From what I hear this is overrun from a government agency contract. It is their HST bullet loaded to 1180 feet per second according to Federal.
Several users have claimed poor QC on this round and have suggested that it has failed a QC test as the reason it is available. Federal says no, it's just an overrun. Others have suggested that the users claiming issues (two confirmed I believe) are trying to slow the sales of the round so they can buy more (if so, haha) since when it's gone it's gone.

From the link:
I posed these two questions:
What is XM9HA?
What are the specs and what bullet is used in it?
Federal responded by email the next day:
Greetings,
The XM9HA is a product overrun from a government contract it is loaded
with our 147gr HST bullet with velocity at 1180FPS and 479 ft lbs of energy.
Thank you

There are also threads at glocktalk and xdtalk concerning this round as well but this seemed to be the most conclusive and active thread so its the one I included. You can google XM9HA if you want to see the entire return on the discussion.

I would be careful shooting this in an unsupported chamber. At 173.4 PF it could be interesting in some guns. Depending on the powder used it could be a prime candidate for casehead seperation.
