Default Frustration is not being able to shoot your new rifle!!!

frustration (noun): A deep chronic sense or state of insecurity and dissatisfaction arising from the inability to try out a new firearm; Usually accompanied by a powerful urge to strike one's head forcefully against a wall or other hard surface.

I got a '42 Mosin Nagant 91/30 today, and I am just dying to go shoot it... But the car's in the shop!

There it sits, on its rack, just taunting me, with its sexy, shiny finish gleaming at me...

Sorry, no porn yet, I've lost my card reader and therefore cannot get pictures from my camera to the computer--It's in great shape though, and I can't wait to get it to the range and unleash its fury on evil chunks of hanging wood and tyrannic pictures of animals. I'll get pics as soon as I find my card reader.

Congrats. I just order a 81/30 and I guess I will have to clean all up before shooting. Well at least you can work the action. Let us see when you get pics.

    Sweet...Gotta love those Mosins.

Currently I have (7) 91/30's including the Sniper.

Lucky for me, It's about a 100 feet from my back door to the range, So transportation is not a problem. Hopefully you'll be back up and running, So we will expect pictures then.

    Enjoy,

    TJB

I didn't even have to clean it, actually. I took it apart and checked everything, and it was clean as a whistle. I did put a little lube in the bolt, and I ran a couple patches through the bore just to be sure, but it really wasn't necessary. I think I'm gonna steal my wife's camera and use that to take pictures, because we have a cable for hers. Pics to follow in a few minutes!

    Gun porn!

(That white line on the wood is a cat hair, sorry.)

Unfortunately, my wife's camera does not have a decent macro setting on it, so I can't get any pictures of the arsenal stamp (Izhevsk) or serial numbers. These are all a little worn, but still fairly visible. I can clearly see the arsenal stamp and the year, but the "m91/30 CAL. 7.62x54r" in the barrel is a little hard to make out.

although Its not recommended I've been there after a new purchase, I just open the back door and pop a round off into the ground lol. Hard to fight the urge sometimes. Houses are 100 feet or more away.

Ditto! What happens when the neighbors call the cops, I wonder? I suppose you could pass off a .22 as being a firecracker, but a 7.62x54r is LOUD!
