PAFOA wasn't involved. Mike Stollenwork and OCDO deserve their kudos for a job well done!

We are lucky to live in a state that has so many dedicated individuals and organizations all working together towards common goals.

I love the last paragraph of the article.
"Dom Viccari, Ellwood’s borough manager, said banning guns from the municipal building was a way to protect borough building employees, especially on days when the electric department must shut off non-paying customers. He noted today’s society is much less predictable and dangerous than in the past."

And this idiot is the borough manager.

In a word... nice. Glad to see that the Solicitor actually did his job and informed the council that they would be breaking the law, and potentially all be held accountable, if they passed that ordinance.

Yeah, with how ammunition costs are rising, if someone can't afford to pay their electric bill, they won't be able to afford the ammunition for the gun anyway!

I don't know if any of you know much about Mike Stollenwork history of activistism in PA. Thankfully PA has some activist that get things done, IF we can just get more gun owners involved, think what we could have, instead of complaining what we have taken away from US because of our apathy, laziness, or lack of political involvement.

Mike Stollenwork is a real go getter, and took the PA state police on and over the Socialism inSecurity Number on concealed carry permits violating the privacy act and won in federal court. Part of the judges ruling is that PSP had to notify FFL dealers & 67 sheriff dept that they have to post sign stating the fact SSN are not req'd to purchase firarms or for which the PSP hasn't done yet.

read some of the long range implications here.
    http://www.libertycoalition.net/judg...umber-unlawful

Stollenwerk began his Pennsylvania effort in June 2003, when he was still an Army lieutenant colonel based in the Washington suburbs.

On June 30, 2003, Stollenwerk tried to buy a Taurus revolver from US Prospectors Sporting Goods in Columbia, Lancaster County.

When the dealer asked for his Social Security number, Stollenwerk declined to provide it. The dealer called state police to try to complete the sale, but the state police refused to run Stollenwerk's name through its database, the Pennsylvania Instant Check System, without a Social Security number.

A few days later, Stollenwerk tried to apply for a concealed-gun permit from the Lancaster County sheriff. He supplied his passport, driver's license, voter-registration card, bank statements, and utility bills as identification. When he refused to disclose his Social Security number, Sheriff Terry A. Bergman denied him a license to carry a firearm.

Thanks also goes to Dan for PAFOA website and to all moderators and tech support people involved in website that makes this a special place

The funny thing is, they are worried about angry customers at the electric office and there are armed police not more then 500 feet away.
