    Default AR 15 M4 carbine

Im looking for rails for a Stag AR 15 M4 carbine. I know theres a lot of them out there. I want them t be made in the U.S. and not be astronomically priced. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. das

CAA makes a simple set that "bolts" right on your existing M4 HGs. Enough for a VFG, Laser/light. Too small if your RIS'ing a buncha other tacticool stuff.

Edit: The CAA rails are a durable plastic, OK for the range but not for combat.

As was just pointed out to me a couple days ago, YHM makes the least expensive free floating units. And Primary Arms makes a $45 drop in replacement.

You might also want to check out Daniel Defense. They make some excellent rails at a decent price. Their Omega rails are decent 2 piece free float rails that require almost no modification to your rifle and provide sling attachment points and a continuious rail from the upper receiver.

LaRue or Daniel Defense. Nothing will beat them. I rock a DD, but I long for a LaRue...

Yeah, if LaRue is an option Larue is the answer, words to live by. However he said he wanted to keep costs down, plus the DD is easier to install at home, just a setscrew or two IIRC.
