It goes to say, it is NOT the guns...it is the ammunition, he he heh.....get back to the days when you got to make your own bullets. Not lot of street punks can do it, unless they want to blow their faces off by loading the wrong powder, he he heh..criminals ain't that smart.

    Hey Gkgas,

I hope that I'm not being too paranoid, but recently I've started stockpiling ammunition. So far I've got several hundred for each of my handguns and about a thousand for each rifle. I'm planning to buy even more ammo in the near future.

Well it sure does not seem like it will be going down in price They say it will be more expensive come September 1st.

I see the surplus I brought going for double now, and not even for sale in cases.

Of course after the war with the high production rate there might be a glut.

    One could hope.

It always is. I read that after the civil war, there was a big surplus of firearms "on the market". The gun makers need to sell those guns so they invented the "Wild West". In this case, I predict that ammo prices will come down after Bush's war is over.

Just as an FYI, I had tables at the Allentown show today. The ammo prices are WAY up. Garbage 9mm $8 per box, generic .45acp ball $14 to $16 per box, .308 generic ball $15 a box. If the prices keep going up I will have to start reloading!!!!!

I heard on a radio show about 2 weeks ago that there were 2 lead mines closed down and will reopen at the begining of the year. I hope this helps in the cost of ammo. I also think there will be a glut of ammo after the war.
