Re: Spring Shoot?
Hope you had fun. I've seen you up at the range several times before. I'm usually shooting my M44. If I remember correctly you shoot .22s with your father? I haven't been up there for a few months myself. Need to get back out.

Re: Spring Shoot?
HamburgboyBoy84, It felt good to get out and get shooting again. This winter has kept us inside for the most part, as it has been pretty harsh. Can you tell me more about your M44? I was just looking at one on Saturday, it's a 1948 Russian Izhevsk with a light colored wood stock. Non refurbed, non counter bored all original in fantastic condition but priced a little high...$229. The shop owner is holding it for me until Tuesday, I have to make a decision by then. What do you think about the price? You are correct my son and I use to shoot mostly .22's but have since branched out to larger calibers. Now it's mostly mini 14's and larger caliber bolt guns. We have several Mosin 91/30's that we bring also. The women love to shoot so we always include them in our trip. We'll be going back up in a week or two, we usually try and get there around 10am before it gets too crowded. Take care and happy shooting...............

Re: Spring Shoot?
I paid around $100 for my M44 about a year ago. It's all #s matching etc and shoots. great. Over $200 seems a little steep for a Mosin. I was at Cabelas tonight and they had a bunch of Mosins, not sure if there was a M44 or not though.

Re: Spring Shoot?
I'm going to be up at the Burma Rd. this afternoon/evening. I have a water tank that needs some holes put in it. Probably have my Garand and M44 as well as a few 9mms and my Marlin 22. Too nice to not destroy things today.
I'll probably be there around 5:00ish to 7:00ish.Happiness is warm gun (bang bang, shoot shoot)

Re: Spring Shoot?
Well if there is anything left of the water tank, I'll finish it off tomorrow morning (Thursday). Was up there this morning for about an hour with my CZ 452 .22 wmr, had a lot of fun. Glad you got out and enjoyed yourself.

Re: Spring Shoot?
It's still up on the hill @ about 120 yds. I was too lazy to go back up and get it. You can't miss it. I spent most of the afternoon knocking down bowling pins @ 100-120 yds with the Garand and the Marlin. Even got the wife to hit a few. All in all a good evening.

The blue tank on the hill took a beatin, but she's still standing. I spent about an hour shooting at it. Thanks for the target........
